Key Responsibilities:

  • To work as part of the Accommodation Team
  • To supervise the cleaning and servicing of the hotel guest rooms, bathrooms and public areas
  • To liaise with the Accommodation team in finding opportunities to "surprise and delight" our guests whenever possible
  • To anticipate guests needs and ensure that service is provided to the level they require and beyond their expectations
  • To have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all standards of performance and delivery within the accommodation department and ensure that the standards are met and maintained

Bar Manager

Job description

We are actively seeking an experienced Bar Manager. We are looking for a Bar Manager with experience managing busy bars, overseeing the general day-to-day running of the bars and its staff, ensuring the best possible customer service is provided to our customers every day.

 

Summary of key activities

  • To ensure the bars are running smoothly and efficiently
  • Ensure that the department complies with and have in place all Health and Safety measures necessary
  • Closely working with the Operations Manager and Hotel Manager
  • To ensure customer’s expectations are always exceeded
  • Ensure all customer complaints are resolved in a timely and efficient manner
  • Provide an approachable welcoming atmosphere within the bar and between staff and customers
  • Responsible for stock control
  • Responsible for staff rostering, weekly forecasting and overall beverage budgets & GP

Night Porter

Job description

 

Due to the expansion of our property, Lawlor's of Naas is currently looking to recruit a Night Porter to oversee the smooth operation of the hotel.

The Night Porter is responsible for the assistance in all operations during overnight shift hours, focusing on Front Office operations, night audit, guest and hotel safety/security ensuring a professional and high-quality service at all times at Lawlor’s of Naas.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for customers, staff and visitors is maintained at all times.
  • Carry out security and health and safety checks of the entire hotel building on a regular basis.
  • Receive orders, prepare and service light refreshments to guest’s rooms as required.
  • Carry out required cleaning duties through the night, including public areas, toilets, meeting rooms, food and beverage outlets, and any other areas required.
  • Carry out wake-up calls.
  • Carry out porterage when required.
  • Deal with telephone and guest enquiries.
  • Assist in the restaurant/bar/lounge when required.
  • Set up meeting rooms.

 

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Porter in a Hotel or other similar experience.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is a must.
