We are actively seeking an experienced Bar Manager. We are looking for a Bar Manager with experience managing busy bars, overseeing the general day-to-day running of the bars and its staff, ensuring the best possible customer service is provided to our customers every day.

 

Summary of key activities

  • To ensure the bars are running smoothly and efficiently
  • Ensure that the department complies with and have in place all Health and Safety measures necessary
  • Closely working with the Operations Manager and Hotel Manager
  • To ensure customer’s expectations are always exceeded
  • Ensure all customer complaints are resolved in a timely and efficient manner
  • Provide an approachable welcoming atmosphere within the bar and between staff and customers
  • Responsible for stock control
  • Responsible for staff rostering, weekly forecasting and overall beverage budgets & GP

 

Experience and skills

  • Minimum of 4 years management experience

Salary: €40,000.00-€45,000.00 per year

Front Office Receptionist

Lawlor’s of Naas are looking for a Reservations Executive to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, is a people person, creative and really excited about learning all things reservations. You will have an interest in all hotel trends, competitors both locally and nationally, ideally with some level of hospitality experience. We are looking for a candidate who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where you will work on a variety of tasks across the hotel each day.

 

As a Reservations Executive your main responsibilities will be:

• Manage telephone and email enquiries in a prompt and professional manner and in accordance with company standards ensuring accuracy and attention to detail at all times.

• Being aware of competitors and their products and prices.

• Identify new contacts, develop sales leads, and respond to sales opportunities in order to maximise revenue.

• Monitor customer satisfaction regularly and resolve any outstanding issues to ensure future business.

• To source new business by consistently monitoring media to see what companies are booking business and where they are booking.

• To ensure that all business leads and opportunities are followed up in a timely manner including enquiries and provisional bookings.

• Attend promotions, events and exhibitions as directed and follow up as required.

• To encourage more business from present companies by keeping in personal contact with Organizers.

• To ensure that we are constantly striving to maximize room capacity and revenue by charging in accordance with the services we offer.

• Be alert for opportunities for special events to increase our sales.

• To deal with all clients in a professional and friendly manner.

• Liaise regularly with the sales Team and Management.

• To deal with any guest complaints, queries and suggestions quickly and efficiently.

• To ensure that all business leads and opportunities are followed up in a timely manner including enquiries and provisional bookings.

The successful candidate will:

• Proficiency in the English language is essential, both written and oral

• Be self-motivated and be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills

Sous Chef

Lawlor’s of Naas is expanding our kitchen team and we are currently recruiting an experienced Sous Chef. This is a busy, hands-on role suited to someone with strong organisational skills, the ability to work efficiently under pressure, and the confidence to lead a team when required.

 

The Role

  • Manage your section within the kitchen during service
  • Prepare and cook dishes in line with the standards set by the Executive Head Chef
  • Supervise, train, and support junior chefs
  • Ensure correct stock rotation and stock control within your section
  • Maintain cleaning standards and ensure cleaning schedules are followed
  • Have a detailed knowledge of the full menu and dish descriptions
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, food hygiene, and health & safety legislation
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards

The Person

  • Previous experience in a 4 or 5-star hotel or similar high-quality kitchen
  • Strong working knowledge of HACCP
  • Solid understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and kitchen processes
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear, professional, and effective communication skills

F&B Supervisor (AM)

Lawlor's of Naas is looking for a full time Breakfast Supervisor for Breakfast & Lunch Shifts.

Please note that this is a hands on role.

The successful candidate will assist the manager in the day to day running of the department and fill in where necessary. The Breakfast Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the following tasks are preformed to the highest standards:

  • Ensuring the smooth running of the department and staff within.
  • Supervising all activities of the staff that are on duty and ensuring they are aware of their responsibilities and perform all duties to the highest of standards.
  • Daily checking of standards, conducting training as an when required.
  • Evaluate guest satisfaction levels and monitor trends with a focus on ways to continuously improve the guest experience.
  • Maintain good communication and work relationships in all hotel areas and with external suppliers and customers.
  • Manage staff performance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Recruiting, training, managing and developing the team as required.
  • Assist other departments wherever necessary.
  • Have a hands on approach and lead from the front.

 

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

  • Previous experience as a team leader or supervisor in a busy 4-star environment.
  • The ability to prioritise and delegate work whilst also providing training and support.
  • Flexibility with regards to hours of work
  • Good command of the English language – written as well as spoken.
  • Excellent self-presentation, be standards driven and detail-orientated.
  • The ability to handle demanding situations and work well under time constraints.
